In the pre-season of 2005-06 season I approached Nuneaton Borough AFC with the concept of a photographic project working with them to document a season at Manor Park. The ground had played host to football matches for over 80 years. I wanted to photograph the inner workings of the club and not just be an action snapper. The result of my meeting was that the club were very receptive and i was given permission to access all areas. To say that I enjoyed working with the club in this way would be an understatement also considering the fortunes of the team during that season it was an incredible year to document.

These photographs are now more significant as the ground and the club are no more, Manor Park was sold to a developer, the last competitive game being played there on April 28th 2007 and Nuneaton Borough AFC went into liquidation in June 2008 reforming as Nuneaton Town FC.
